Effective Date: March 2026
This California Privacy Notice supplements our Privacy Policy and provides additional information for California residents as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 ("CCPA"). In this notice, the terms "personal information" and "sensitive personal information" have the meaning set forth in the CCPA.
In the past 12 months, we have collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:
Identifiers: Name, email address, IP address, account username, and unique device identifiers.
Internet or other electronic network activity information: Browsing history on our Website, search history, and information regarding your interaction with our Website, including pages visited, time on page, and click behavior.
Geolocation data: Approximate location derived from your IP address (city or region level only, not precise location).
Commercial information: Records of services considered or other consuming histories related to wedding planning activities on our Website.
Inferences: Inferences drawn from the above categories to create a profile about you reflecting your preferences and interests related to wedding planning.
We collect personal information from the following sources: directly from you when you create an account, fill out a contact form, subscribe to our newsletter, or submit content; automatically through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies when you visit our Website (subject to your consent choices); and from third-party analytics and advertising partners.
We collect and use personal information for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy, including providing our Services, personalizing your experience, communicating with you, analyzing and improving our Website, delivering relevant advertising, and ensuring the security of our Website.
We may disclose your personal information to the following categories of recipients for business purposes: service providers that help us operate our Website (hosting, email delivery, customer support); analytics providers (Google Analytics); and advertising partners (Google Ads, Meta, Pinterest).
We share personal information with advertising and analytics partners for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising, subject to your consent choices. Under the CCPA, this may be considered "sharing" of personal information. The categories of personal information we share for these purposes include identifiers (such as device identifiers and IP addresses), internet or other electronic network activity information, and inferences.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which we collected it, the purposes for collecting or sharing it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
Right to Opt Out of Sale/Sharing: You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. You can exercise this right by clicking the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the footer of our Website; adjusting your preferences through our cookie consent tool; or enabling a legally-recognized opt-out preference signal such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. When you submit an opt-out request, including through a GPC signal, we will confirm that your request has been processed.
Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We do not process sensitive personal information for purposes that are subject to the right to limit.
Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
To submit a request to know, delete, or correct your personal information, please contact us at privacy@theperfectwedding.com or use our contact form at theperfectwedding.com/contact.
We will verify your identity before processing your request. For account holders, we will verify your identity through your account login credentials. For non-account holders, we will verify your identity by matching information you provide against information we have on file. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If you use an authorized agent, we may require proof of authorization and may still verify your identity directly.
We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days. If we need additional time, we will inform you of the reason and the extension period (up to an additional 45 days).
For information about how long we retain personal information, please see the "Data Retention" section of our Privacy Policy.
We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. However, we recognize and honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. When we detect a GPC signal, we will automatically treat it as a request to opt out and will confirm that the request has been processed.
Under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please contact us at privacy@theperfectwedding.com with the subject line "Shine the Light Request."
Any disputes arising from or related to this California Privacy Notice are subject to the dispute resolution provisions in our Terms of Use, including the Arbitration Agreement and Class Action Waiver in Section 15 of the Terms of Use. Nothing in this provision is intended to limit your right to file a complaint with the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
We may update this California Privacy Notice from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the updated notice on this page with a new effective date. This notice will be updated at least annually.
